| The purpose of the MPCC Handbooks is to promote the college mission: To provide educational opportunities for lifelong student learning. |

The
Employee Handbook has been prepared to assist faculty and
staff with the various procedures that Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) has
adopted to facilitate the operation of the institution. Generally the
Employee Handbook is based upon the Board Policy Manual,
written procedures and generally accepted practices. All employees have access
to the Board Policy Manual in the libraries, Human Resources office, Dean's
offices, Vice Presidents offices, and on the MPCC website (www.mpcc.edu). Other
written procedures are available from the appropriate functional area, for
example human resources, accounting, or registrar.
The
information in the Employee Handbook is subject to
change and/or revision at any time. It creates no contract or entitlement and is
intended to be informative only. Even so, it is essential that all employees be
familiar with the information in the Employee Handbook.

The
Instructional Handbook has been designed to be a useful resource for both
full-time and part-time instructional personnel at Mid-Plains Community College.
Dedicated, imaginative, knowledgeable, adaptable faculty members are needed to
support our college mission. An effort has been made to include
information that will assist faculty and others in becoming acquainted with
various procedures, available resources, and other aspects of our college.
It is
anticipated that the Instructional Handbook will be updated annually and
your suggestions are solicited regarding ways in which you feel the
Instructional Handbook can be made an even more effective resource.
Comments and suggestions should be directed to your Division Chair and/or the
Vice President of Educational Services and Student Development.
