Note from the Campaign Manager

The outpouring of support for our foundations from faculty, staff, students, donors and communities inspires me in my job. Mid-Plains Community Collge partners with McCook College Foundation and the North Platte Community College Foundation in an effort to support student success. The mission is fulfilled by actively encouraging private gifts from individuals, alumni, businesses, associations, services organizations and people like you!

For many years, the majority of funds to both foundations has been used to support scholarships. While this continues to be one of the foundations objectives, the need for additional resources to support program development, facilities, and emerging community needs is on the rise. Traditional revenue sources - local and state dollars combined with tuition - have and will continue to help maintain a solid education for our students. However, contributions and grants also provide the additional unrestricted resources that are needed to enhance quality educational opportunities to the communities Mid-Plains Community College serves.

Today, the commitment of our donors takes on an even greater role of importance than ever before. Your ongoing financial support accelerates the goals of our communities' college and opens doors of opportunity for students who would not otherwise have the means of obtaining a higher education. Most importantly, your contribution does more than support financial needs...it reflects a generosity of spirit and strengthens our sense of community; it ensures a regional vitality rich with educated citizens and workers. Your giving inspires others to give!
