MPCC has numerous high quality and nationally recognized programs available to our students.
We offer three transfer degrees designed to prepare students to continue on to a four-year Health and Technical fields as well as the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of General Studies degrees.
Students may choose to complete an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of General Studies (AGS). These programs prepare students to transfer to a four-year college where they will complete their Bachelor's Degree. In the U.S., it is common for students to begin their college education at a two-year institution/community college (such as MPCC). This option is popular because it allows students to complete quality courses within a student-friendly environment where small classes and dedicated instructors enhance student's learning opportunities. Additionally, because of government funding, the cost of courses at the community college is significantly less than at a four year college. Thus, students receive a high standard education at a minimal cost.
Our courses and programs are designed to provide students with a smooth transfer as they move on to a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor's degree. We have agreements with most of the Nebraska universities that allow students to transfer smoothly between institutions. MPCC works closely with other colleges to ensure that courses the student takes at MPCC meet both the requirements for their Associates degree as well as for their intended Bachelor's degree. An additional advantage of attending a community college and then transferring to a four-year
Being a small college, we are able to work closely with our students to ensure they receive the education most appropriate to their needs. Our students who transfer on are noted for their strong educational background and preparedness and do exceptionally well. As a rule, they continue to advance in their educational pursuits.
