Today's Vision...Tomorrow's Reality
A Foundation for Progress
Provide the physical resources needed to educate a skilled workforce that will continue to meet the needs of our 18-county service area. These health care workers include not only RNs and LPNs but also Dental Assistants, Medical Lab Technicians, Nursing Assistants, and Emergency Medical Services personnel, including Paramedics.
Provide state-of-the-art classrooms to enhance our students' experience and clinical training. The new Health Complex will be equipped with advanced instructional technology and discipline-specific tools in the Health Occupations, Science and Mathematics areas. This preparation will enable our students to be successful in today's highly technical and rapidly changing workplace.
Advance the concept of "growing our own" professionals and keeping these professionals in our local communities through affordable educational opportunities in the health, science, and mathematics areas.
Utilize the latest distance learning technology to provide educational opportunities for students at the four MPCC extended campus sites in Broken Bow, Valentine, Ogallala and Imperial, as well as a number of other locations throughout the MPCC 18-county service area.
Prepare for the future by expanding the College's ability to provide education in Bioscience, Forensic Science, Homeland Security, and additional Science and Health Occupations programs.
"With a shortage of health care workers throughout most regions of the country, we are incredibly fortunate to have our Community College working overtime to educate health care workers for our area. We simply must provide the facilities for the College to sustain and even expand that role as needs dictate in the coming years."
