Teams can sign up now for the three-on-three Samson Charles Memorial Basketball Tournament Nov. 17 at North Platte Community College.

It's the fourth year for the event, which raises money for the Samson Charles Scholarship Fund. NPCC's Student Senate is hosting the competition this year, and members have chosen the theme, "Super Heroes."

There's no limit to how many teams can sign up, but each must consist of six players. Two of those players have to be women, one of which must be on the court at all times. No more than two college basketball players can be on each team.

Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium on NPCC's South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd. The tournament will start at 1:30 p.m.

Registration is $30 per team until Nov. 12. After that date, and at the door, the cost is $40 per team. Admission is $5 per person. A donation jar will also be set up at the event.

For more information, or to register, contact Student Senate President Antonia Villani at avillani7635@students.mpcc.edu.
