Arts center hosts work of NPCC students

Marissa Pascoe adjusts the chain on a sculpture she made. She is one of several NPCC students who will have work on display at the Prairie Arts Center this week. 

North Platte Community College students will have the chance to show off their creativity at the Prairie Arts Center beginning this week. 

Pieces they made for the Sculpture and Fundamentals of Photography classes will be on display at the art center July 19-30. The show will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. 

Work from the following students will be featured: Alex Cahill, Courtney Kohl, Toni Renken, Michael Stovall, Marissa Pascoe and Sierra Schumm, all of North Platte, and Ben Sinclair, of York. 

 The public is also invited to attend a reception for the artists from 6-7:30 p.m. July 22.

Heather Johnson
Area Communications Specialist

Heather produces and distributes press releases for the college. She began work at MPCC in 2014. Prior to that, she spent five years as the news director/web manager for Eagle Radio in North Platte. From 2009-2014 she worked as a reporter/photographer for The North Platte Telegraph. Heather has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Chadron State College.
