It's the second year NLD has given a scholarship to a MPCC Rodeo Team member. Recipients must be students at North Platte Community College and must contribute significantly to both the team and the community.
MPCC Rough Stock Coach Dustin Elliott said showing up on time for practices and helping with fundraisers are some of the criteria considered.
Moon received a $1,000 scholarship from The Wranglers, the official booster committee of the MPCC Rodeo Team. Moon is a bareback rider for the college. His award was based on points earned in the arena and grade point average.
