Position: MPCC is seeking an organized, energetic individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing student activities and signature events, such as Honors Convocation and Commencement.
  • Providing support for multicultural events and activities.
  • Providing leadership for MPCC Student Life communications, website content, materials, and media review procedures.
  • Advise student organizations and student senate.
  • Participate in residence life activities, enhance student engagement, and participate in on-call rotations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree required – Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must have computer skills, experience in oral and written communication, marketing, event planning, project management, customer service, budgeting, and general problem solving are beneficial. Must be able to lift and move material of 25 to 50 pounds. Position will require occasional work outside of a standard 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday work week.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Previous playing, recruiting, and/or coaching at the intercollegiate level preferred. The head coach assumes responsibilities for his/her sport, the assistants, participants, facilities, budgets, fundraising, equipment, travel, public relations, recruitment, and compliance to the rules and regulations of the NJCAA and the athletic conference(s) of which MPCC is a member.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is looking to build its pool of behind the wheel and range trainers.

Qualified persons are required to hold a current CDL License, a clean driving record and a minimum of at least 1-year of driving experience. Behind the Wheel and Range instructors will assist instruction of Behind the Wheel and Range training to the students at the Mid-Plains Community College Entry Level Driver Training program. Hours are flexible, instruction on the driving pad can happen daytime, evenings and weekends depending on your availability. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Word/Outlook/ Excel, basic understanding of higher education and course delivery methods (online, hybrid, on-site, distance learning), be able to provide exemplary customer service, be comfortable in public speaking, have a positive attitude, detailed oriented and able to work independently. This position is 40 hours/week, flex hours, M-F, with weekends as needed. Specific hours will vary each semester, primarily daytime and early evening. Required:  Associate degree.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is seeking a Director of Advising. An ideal candidate for this position needs a high level of rapport with students of all ages, the ability to lead and partner with multiple teams, a strong understanding of technology, implementation, and systems, and the ability to foster student success and retention. This role regularly travels between North Platte, McCook and Community Campuses advising students area-wide. Responsibilities include:

Position: McCook Community College is seeking a hard-working, organized, and student-centered professional to serve on our Learning Commons Team and assist faculty and staff to identify high-risk students and assist them in achieving success. This role will also provide success coaching on various academic skills such as time management, test taking, and more. The position will coordinate events and programming for the McCook Learning Commons in collaboration with other staff and serve as Learning Commons athletic liaison for student athletes. This dual role is also responsible for overseeing all the aspects of recruiting and retaining a successful college women’s softball team. Position: McCook Community College is looking for motivated, energetic, responsible, and team-oriented individuals for multiple Residence Life Assistant positions. Responsibilities for this 20 hour a week position includes: on-call responsibilities, administrative assignments, program management, staffing the residence hall front desk during the day and overnight. This position is for 34 weeks and includes an hourly wage plus room and board. The position requires candidate to live in campus provided housing. Bachelor's Degree in a Health or Education related field and 4 years full-time occupational experience as a dental assistant to include at least 2 years as a chairside assistant. This experience must have been within the last 5 years if not currently teaching in an ADA CODA accredited dental assisting program. Additional Requirements: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Graduate of ADA CODA Accredited Dental Assisting Program, current CPR for Healthcare Provider, current immunizations for clinical participation and be able to meet the technical standards for the program.

Qualifications:

The preferred Candidate will have an associate degree in electrical with five years documented work experience in an electrical related field with commercial installations. A State of Nebraska Journeyman electrical license is preferred but an apprentice with experience will be considered. Basic computer skills, good communications skills and valid driver’s license required. Other related maintenance experience in plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry is preferred but not required. Candidate should be able and willing to learn additional technical skills including expanding their electrical skills to the next level.
