Administrative positions are twelve-month positions and may begin immediately. Faculty positions begin with the fall term, and are on 175-day contracts with overload and summer teaching possible. Position Openings

Location: North Platte

Position: The full-time athletic communications specialist will design, write and produce promotional materials, including press releases, game day graphics, posters, pocket schedules, programs, brochures, flyers and media guides.  This position will also respond to requests for information from media personnel and the public, distribute promotional materials, such as flyers, brochures and press kits, and disseminate information via appropriate media channels.

The athletic communications specialist will be expected to assist with special events, including media days for the McCook and North Platte Community College athletic teams.  The person hired will also be required to develop and maintain close contact with local media, organize press conferences, set up interviews, respond to questions from the media and the public and manage results and statistics.

Other responsibilities include organizing and supervising photo sessions for all sports and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  

Associate degree and demonstrated experience required. Applicants must possess knowledge of college level men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and softball, men’s baseball and golf. In addition, they must possess strong writing and grammar skills, be an excellent communicator, and have basic research abilities and the ability to track coaching and athlete records. Must be skilled in basic computer applications, specifically MS Office products and general knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs. Applicants must be highly organized, skilled in digital photography, and be willing to work nights and weekends. Experience working with the media is preferred. Must have a positive attitude with a high level of professionalism and courteousness to represent MPCC in a quality way. The Athletic Communications Specialist is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by MPCC and the NJCAA.

Position: North Platte Community College is seeking a motivated and hardworking professional to perform general maintenance, grounds keeping, and construction projects.  Skills preferred would be plumbing, sprinklers, light mechanical, carpentry, minor electrical amongst other relevant skills. Minimum Qualifications:  

The preferred Candidate will have an associate degree with five years documented work experience in a construction related field with special consideration given to those with plumbing experience.  Basic computer skills, including MS Word & Excel, good customer service & communications skills and valid driver’s license required. Candidate should be able and willing to learn additional technical skills.

Position: This position will be responsible for recruiting students to Mid-Plains Community College and contributing to enrollment growth. This role, based on the North Platte South Campus, will provide outreach to potential students, plan and facilitate recruitment events, and market programs for all MPCC Campuses. Extensive travel in our 18 county service area and beyond is required during peak recruitment seasons. Position: Mid-Plains Community College is seeking an organized, detailed-oriented, team player with great computer and customer service skills.

This position assists the Financial Aid team with the development, implementation and management of all institutional, state, and federal financial aid and scholarship programs.

Located in the McCook Campus Welcome Center, this position is responsible for the processing of financial aid-related documents, awarding state and federal funding, front line customer service to students, assisting with file completion and serving as a member of the McCook Campus Welcome Center Team.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and work well under time constraints.

Associate degree OR experience in the field of Financial Aid is required. Detail oriented candidates with experience in finance, banking, loan management or related fields are encouraged to apply.
