Position: Mid-Plains Community College is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, team player with great computer and customer service skills. This position provides support for Registration and Records, Academic Advising, and provides support for students in the transfer-in and enrollment processes. Responsibilities for this position include: data entry, records management, student support, customer service, and serving as a member of the McCook Campus Welcome Center team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s degree or two years of experience in higher education preferred. Computer skills required and a combination of education and experience will be considered. Position: Part-Time Infant Room Teacher in the Child Development Center at McCook Community College. This position is responsible for planning infant room activities, interacting with and supporting children and their families, maintaining a safe environment, overseeing business operations and providing support to students and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:  

A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of research methods and ability to communicate survey results and data validly and effectively.  Must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite software with strong Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Experience with relational database software is preferred. The chosen candidate will demonstrate positive and highly effective verbal, written, active listening and customer service skills. Experience in working with databases and creating professional reports is preferred, must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities in a team environment to meet critical deadlines.

Position: This position is front line staff in day-to-day contact with all MPCC constituents – students, faculty, staff, and the public. This position plays a vital role in supporting our students and assisting in initiatives led by our Student Services Team. This position supports all campus locations but offices in the South Campus Welcome Center.

Learning Commons Assistant: This position will greet customers at the front desk of the Learning Commons, answer questions and provide assistance to customers, and coordinate with coworkers to plan and implement projects promoting success for students at the college.

Position: Provide a professional influence on the McCook campus, assisting in staff development of safety and security policies. Observe facilities and conduct, interact positively with MPCC community members, maintain logs and records, assist director with training, coordinate with multiple departments on campus, assist in emergency situations, and follow direction of Area Safety and Security Director. Assist with coordination of Student Security workers schedules and help provide presence at events and functions. 

Duties:

  • Create and keep student worker schedules – filling in where needed (possible night shifts)
  • Help student workers at events – being available during home games as needed.
  • Assist Area Director with Training of student workers.
  • Check in with staff and faculty throughout the week.
  • Help coordinate with Area Director for drill coordination.
