Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required and three to five years of relevant experience. The ability to work independently with little supervision, experience with grant writing for federal and state agencies, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is now accepting applications for a CDL Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the advancement of the Business and Community Education CDL program, promotion, recruitment, and instruction, maintaining state and federal (CDL/MSF) regulations and all safety standards, adhering to industry standards for compliance and reporting, maintaining established business partnerships, oversight of all Motor School equipment, inventory, and maintenance. Minimum Qualifications:  

A Current Class A CDL license is required, an Associate Degree preferred. Must possess knowledge of semi-trucks/trailers, simulator use, and basic mechanical skills, as well as an understanding of DMV rules and requirements. Must have strong communications skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, think creatively and generate new opportunities for business and community education offerings. Can effectively teach, have positive interpersonal skills, high standards and integrity, the capability to make informed decisions, to listen and assess client needs. Be able to strategically coordinate programming/training of various size and duration, have the ability to determine program costs, and the willingness to be a team player/build relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:  

A Bachelor’s Degree required with a Master’s Degree preferred. Must have strong communications skills and ability to work collaboratively. Must think creatively and generate new opportunities for business and community education offerings. Experience in consultative sales, project management, event planning and business operations beneficial. Relevant experience in education is valuable, as is understanding job markets and trends in educational programming, finance and budgeting. Willingness to take on additional projects as assigned. Able to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of CDL certification helpful.

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Word/Outlook/Excel, basic understanding of higher education and course delivery methods (online, hybrid, on-site, distance learning), be able to provide exemplary customer service, be comfortable in public speaking, have a positive attitude and be able to work independently. This position is a flex-40 hours/week, M-F, with weekends as needed. Specific hours will vary each semester, primarily daytime and early evening. Required: Minimum of an Associate’s degree.

Qualifications:

The preferred Candidate will have an associate degree in electrical with five years documented work experience in an electrical related field with commercial installations. A State of Nebraska Journeyman electrical license is preferred but an apprentice with experience will be considered. Basic computer skills, good communications skills and valid driver’s license required. Other related maintenance experience in plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry is preferred but not required. Candidate should be able and willing to learn additional technical skills including expanding their electrical skills to the next level.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is now accepting applications for a part-time Health Occupations Administrative Assistant. This position is located in North Platte. Responsible for general office duties such as answering phones, office coverage, and assisting with mailings. This position will work with students enrolled in all health programs as well as faculty in those program areas and will assist with enrolling students, reviewing application packets, and assisting students through the application process. This position will work an average of 28 hours per week; Monday through Friday.

Position: The North Platte Community College Facilities Department is seeking applicants for summer part-time labor. Cleaning, groundskeeping, and general maintenance are the primary job functions. Experience in mowing, cleaning, and maintenance is preferred but we are willing to train motivated individuals. These positions can work up to 38 hours per week for a max of 20 weeks. Minimum Qualifications:

2-years Custodial experience, basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, good communication and customer service skills and a valid driver’s license are required, while a High School diploma or GED are preferred.

Position: In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Mid-Plains Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty. Courses are offered at the North Platte, McCook, Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala, Valentine, and on-line locations, as well as local high schools and other community locations. Day, Evening, Weekend, and Distance Learning classes are offered. Current priority is for on-campus courses during the daytime in the areas listed below.

Developmental English

Masters Degree with 18 Graduate Hours in the subject area:
English
Sociology
Business – specifically Business Law and Marketing
