Full Time

Position: This is a full-time position aimed at enriching the residential experience for our students. The position has a live-in requirement.

As the Assistant Director of Residence Life, your role will revolve around enhancing the quality of life for students living on campus. This encompasses active involvement in planning and executing Residence Life programs and events, addressing Student Conduct matters, and contributing to student development initiatives. Additionally, you will be a key member of the CARE Team, dedicated to supporting at-risk students.

Your duties will also involve participating in on-call rotations to address immediate needs and providing supervision and training to Resident Assistants and Residence Life Assistants.

We are looking for a motivated, positive, and team-oriented individual who is committed to fostering a vibrant residence life culture. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and relevant experience in student development, Residence Life, or related areas is highly valued.

Position: This position provides executive administrative support to the President’s Office and serves as the primary support role to the Board of Governors.   • Process donations by performing gift entry, sending acknowledgements and maintaining accurate records.

  • Maintain database information by updating alumni and donor profiles and generating reports.

Part-Time

Location: North Platte

Position: The North Platte Community College Physical Resources / Facilities Department is seeking applicants for fall part-time grounds keeping labor. Task such as: groundskeeping, and general maintenance are needed. These positions may work up to 38 hours per week for 20 weeks. Hours can be flexible, but consistency is preferred. Position: This position is funded through June 30, 2026 and will be reviewed annually based on funding and caseload. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting students with intake forms and preparing student approved accommodations regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Serving students and following up before, during and after enrollment, implementing student accommodations with regard to ADA and partnering with college instructors to meet students needs.
  • Keeping accurate records of ADA student documentation and interactions.
  • Assisting students and staff in making sure accommodations are met in and out of the classroom.
  • Attending state and national workshops and conferences will be required to keep up on current legislation and trends concerning ADA.

Position: Responsible for assisting full-time instructor with labs designed to help students gain an understanding of dental procedures, the handling of materials, proper infection control, and the use of radiological equipment. Minimum Qualifications:

One year’s experience as a dental assistant. Current Basic Life Support CPR card. Hold the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential or willingness to obtain within three months of hire. Exceptional customer service, excellent organizational skills, ability/willingness to learn new skills and follow dental assisting program curriculum. Must have knowledge of working in a dental office and experience with digital technology within a dental office. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.

Position: North Platte Community College is seeking a part-time lab assistant to work in the HVAC/R Technology classroom and lab. This position is approximately 28 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–noon. Duties include, but are not limited to equipment maintenance, preparing lab materials/supplies, organization of lab, assisting with the supervision of shop activities and substituting as needed.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is looking for a qualified Shooting Club Coach who has the ability to coach and instruct proper shooting technique, plan engaging and skill building practices, and oversee all aspects of running a highly competitive shooting team. This position also requires someone who can recruit high performing shooters and oversee travel plans and fund raising for the team. Experience and knowledge in shooting, safety, recruiting, and planning is helpful. This position will be filled in either McCook or North Platte travel between all MPCC campuses is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified persons are required to hold a current CDL License, a clean driving record and a minimum of at least 1-year of driving experience. Behind the Wheel and Range instructors will assist instruction of Behind the Wheel and Range training to the students at the Mid-Plains Community College Entry Level Driver Training program. Hours are flexible, instruction on the driving pad can happen daytime, evenings and weekends depending on your availability. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Position: This position will be responsible for teaching Dental Assisting classes at North Platte Community College. The college is looking for someone to deliver engaging curriculum with high standards of excellence and someone that will be looking for innovative ways to offer courses. Courses are taught on-campus in North Platte and during the daytime. Teaching opportunities will begin August 22, 2022.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Health or Education related field and 4 years full-time occupational experience as a dental assistant to include at least 2 years as a chairside assistant. This experience must have been within the last 5 years if not currently teaching in an ADA CODA accredited dental assisting program. Additional Requirements: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Graduate of ADA CODA Accredited Dental Assisting Program, current CPR for Healthcare Provider, current immunizations for clinical participation and be able to meet the technical standards for the program.
