MHS students on campus for Bison Days nursing sessions
Two dozen McCook High School freshmen and sophomores were on the McCook Community College campus Monday and Tuesday as part of Bison Days.
The Mid-Plains Community College nursing aide department hosted two, two-hour sessions of “Introduction to Nursing.”
MPCC’s Andrea Stevens and Jordan Hamerlun provided background about careers in nursing, and made presentations with interactive activities and practical experience.
This is the first year the MPCC’s nursing aide staff was part of the community-wide Bison Days, where students go out in the community and learn about careers, new skills, hobbies and interests thanks to hundreds of community volunteers.
NPCC Electrical Technology program to benefit from North Platte Giving Day
Donations to the North Platte Community College Foundation on Giving Day will be put toward a new building for the college’s Electrical Technology program.
