PTK collecting donations to honor war vets

Phi Theta Kappa members at North Platte Community College are collecting donations for wreaths as part of the Wreaths Across America event.

The ceremony is conducted every year to remember and honor the country’s fallen heroes. The wreaths PTK members are soliciting sponsorships for will be placed on headstones at Fort McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell.

Sponsorship forms are available from Dr. Glynn Wolar, PTK advisor, in Room 145A of the McDonald-Belton Building on the NPCC South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd. in North Platte. Those interested can also contact Wolar at wolarg@mpcc.edu.

The order deadline is Nov. 28. Wreaths will be placed at Fort McPherson at 11 a.m. Dec. 16.
