MCC PBL students earn awards at state leadership conference

Four McCook Community College students in Professional Business Leaders (PBL) recently received awards at the Nebraska Leadership Conference in Kearney.

The McCook Community College Professional Business Leaders (PBL) recently attended the Nebraska Leadership Conference in Kearney. Members participated in competitive events and joined a professional networking session from industry professionals.

This year four MCC students participated and received the following awards:

Cindy Howard was honored in Who’s Who in Nebraska PBL. In addition she placed second in Administrative Support Technology, third in Hospitality Management (with teammate Hannah Willis), and fifth in Business Law.

Leslie Hernandez placed fifth in Desktop Publishing.

Maria Ahilon Calmo, placed sixth in Business Law and ninth in Entrepreneurship Concepts.

Hannah Willis placed third in the Hospitality Management competition with teammate Cindy Howard, and eighth in Entrepreneurship Concepts..

All four of these MCC PBL members have the opportunity to represent Nebraska at the National Leadership Conference this summer.
