MPCC Valentine Campus to host turkey calling class
The Mid-Plains Community College Valentine Campus will offer a class on turkey calling ahead of the spring season. The session will be from 6-8 p.m. March 6 at the campus, 715 U.S. Highway 20, in Valentine.
Instructor Rick Windham will provide a comprehensive introduction to turkey calling and hunting tactics for beginners as well as some advanced techniques.
The fee is $20. Registration can be done online at: bceregister.mpcc.edu, by calling (402) 376-8033 or by emailing valentine@mpcc.edu.
The 2024 Nebraska turkey season begins March 25 for archery hunting and April 13 for shotgun.
