MPCC to observe Thanksgiving holiday
Mid-Plains Community College will close at 3 p.m. Nov. 22 and remain closed through Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving break. That includes all campuses in McCook, North Platte, Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine. The college will reopen to the public and resume classes Nov. 27.
End-of-Life Planning class to be offered in Grant
The public is invited to attend a free class about end-of-life planning Dec. 5 in Grant. The Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus is offering the class, which will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the commons area of Perkins County High School.
MPCC to offer retirement planning class in five communities
Mid-Plains Community College will host a Getting Retirement Right class at five of its campuses in November.
General registration opens Monday at MPCC
Returning Mid-Plains Community College students can begin registering for spring classes Monday. General registration will start Oct. 16.

The McCook College Foundation and North Platte Community College Foundation are offering the public tips for including foundations in estates ahead of National Estate Planning Awareness Week Oct. 16 – 22.
HVAC students earn variable speed motors credential
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration students at North Platte Community College are now NC3-certified in variable speed motors.
