Red Cross blood drive set for Jan. 30 at MCC

The Mid-Plains Community College Student Life office is sponsoring a blood drive with the American Red Cross in McCook Jan. 30.

The drive will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the McCook Community College student union.

Earlier this month the American Red Cross announced that it is facing an emergency blood shortage as it experiences the lowest number of people giving blood in the last 20 years. Blood and platelet donations are needed now to help alleviate the shortage and ensure lifesaving medical procedures proceed without delay.

If you are healthy and eligible, please sign up to donate. Most donations take about an hour. Please consider booking your appointment, rolling up your sleeve and becoming a part of this lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and MPCC Student Life.
