Civil rights expert speaks in North Platte/McCook

Dr. Robert Byrd speaks at North Platte Community College Monday morning. Byrd is the chairman of Wyoming’s U.S. Commission on Civil Rights advisory committee.

His presentation, given in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, focused on the motives and dreams of people of color who migrated across the U.S. during the Westward Expansion. He spoke about the same topic Monday afternoon at McCook Community College.
