NPCC job fair features truck driving simulator/windshield repair
A guest tries out a truck driving simulator during the Applied Technologies Job Fair on the North Platte Community College North Campus Thursday.
Approximately 100 people went through the fair and networked with 23 employers from across the state. The fair provided the public with an opportunity to learn about open positions in a variety of applied technology-related fields.
An emphasis was put on electrical, building construction, welding, HVAC, automotive, auto body, diesel and CDL industries.
The simulator, provided by the Nebraska Trucking Association, was new this year as was a windshield chip repair demonstration by Glass Doctor of North Platte.
