What is a logistics degree?
Employees in logistics jobs manage the flow of materials within a company or organization. These jobs are involved in the overall integration of information, inventory, material handling, packaging, transportation, and warehousing.
Our Associate of Applied Science in Business with an emphasis in Logistics is designed
to prepare you for careers in manufacturing, retailing, carrier/transportation services,
warehouse operations, and purchasing or transportation manager.
Logistics includes instruction in acquisitions and purchasing, inventory control, storage and handling, just-in-time manufacturing, logistics planning, shipping and delivery management, transportation, quality control, resource estimation, and allocation, and budgeting. Graduates will have the required foundation in procurement and logistics to manage the flow of materials through the supply chain in a local, regional, or global marketplace.
