The Cherry County Event Center will be a transformative investment in the future of Valentine and the surrounding region. The new, flexible facility will provide a year-round destination for conferences, educational programs, community celebrations, meetings, and regional events—creating opportunities that are currently limited by available space.
Beyond providing a gathering place, the Event Center will strengthen the local economy by attracting visitors, organizations, and events to the area. Increased visitation will support local hotels, restaurants, retailers, and other businesses while giving Cherry County a new asset for tourism, economic development, and community engagement.
Mid-Plains Community College is proud to partner with Lincoln County Tourism in bringing the event center to life. The project grew from a shared vision to expand opportunities at the College’s Valentine Community Campus and create a facility that serves both the college and the broader community. Through financial investment, grant development, private fundraising, and a commitment to ongoing facility operations, MPCC is helping turn a community vision into a lasting regional resource.
