Speaker-author shares inspiring journey with MPCC audiences

Fort Calhoun native Neil Halford was at Mid-Plains Community College campuses in McCook and North Platte Thursday to share his story about overcoming adversity. He told when – as a two-year old –he was kicked in the face by a horse which left him blind. He shared how it affected him, his family, those around him and how they came together to help him overcame challenges in school and in life. He writes of this journey in his 2005 autobiography, “The Sound of Sight.”
