MPCC hosts ‘Johnny’s Ambassadors’ CEO for campus presentations
Laura Stack, founder and CEO of Johnny’s Ambassadors, spoke to Mid-Plains Community College students, faculty and staff Tuesday at both McCook and North Platte. Johnny’s Ambassadors is named after Stack’s son, Johnny, who died by suicide at the age of 19. He became psychotic after dabbing high-potency marijuana concentrates. In her presentations Tuesday she spoke about the association between high-THC marijuana and adolescent brain development, mental illness and suicide.
