North Platte Community College student Jayden Horner, of Firestone, Colo., donates blood during an American Red Cross blood drive Monday afternoon on NPCC's South Campus.

According to Amanda Wehnes, Red Cross donor recruitment account manager for the Midwest region, the efforts of NPCC students, employees and supporters yielded 23 pints of blood. The goal for the day was 21 pints.

Each pint of blood can impact up to three patients, which means the NPCC blood drive has the potential to help 69 individuals.
