MCC hosting Red Cross blood drive Thursday

The Mid-Plains Community College office of student life is sponsoring a blood drive with the American Red Cross Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the McCook Community College student union, 1202 E. Third.

The United States is in a national blood shortage, so reaching goals are critical. An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood or platelets, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year.

All donors who give blood this October will receive a $10 Amazon Gift Card. Food will be catered for all donors.
