Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team
The Mid-Plains Community College rodeo team competes in the Great Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Over the past decade, both the men’s and women’s teams have risen to national prominence, earning regional titles and qualifying numerous cowboys and cowgirls for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).
At the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, Trace Scarlavai of White Cloud, Michigan, captured the bull riding gold buckle at the CNFR, securing MPCC’s first national championship in program history.
MPCC’s impact extends beyond the arena, with its coaches earning Great Plains Region Coach of the Year honors and the MPCC Stampede being named Great Plains Region Rodeo of the Year four of the past five years.
