Tickets on sale for MPCC Rodeo Team Scholarship Banquet

The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team will host its annual Scholarship Banquet on March 14 at Venue 304 in North Platte. The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by a prime rib dinner at 7 p.m.
Open to the public, the banquet celebrates the accomplishments of MPCC’s rodeo student-athletes while raising funds that are awarded as scholarships to support current and future team members.
This year’s keynote speaker will be 2004 World Champion Bull Rider and former MPCC Rodeo Coach Dustin Elliott. The program will also feature coach remarks, scholarship awards, live auction and silent auction.
MPCC Vice President of Administrative Services Mike Steele will serve as master of ceremonies. He will be joined by auctioneer Dean Kunkee.
Tickets are $80 per person or $550 for a table of eight and may be purchased online at https://www.silentauctionpro.com through Feb. 28. Those wishing to attend the banquet or participate in the auctions must first create an account on the website.
The team will also draw the winner of a raffle for a Henry Repeating Arms Brass Lever Action .30-30 rifle. The rifle was donated by Reece Weber and Young’s Western Wear of Valentine and includes a leather buttstock wrap by Kerchal Leatherworks.
Raffle tickets are $20 each and may be purchased at the MPCC North Campus Welcome Center, from any rodeo team member, or by emailing rodeo coach Aukai Kaai at kaaik@mpcc.edu or rodeo@mpcc.edu.
